Why We're Grateful

Updated: Apr 8, 2021

This year knocked most of us off our axes, as our day-to-day lives changed almost overnight. It was stressful, frustrating, sometimes scary, and we’re happy to see 2020 end. But as painful as it could be, it was also impressive to see how people and businesses adapted.

As 2020 comes to close, we want to focus on what we're grateful for, both personal and professional.

  • We have team members who adapted quickly to working from home. Our “Watercooler” Slack channel has never been more active, as we all chit-chat throughout the day. It’s not the same as dropping by someone’s office, but we’ll take it.

  • We were able to hire new team members, and they fit in so well, that we can’t imagine they were ever not here. Hello Don, Hafeezah, and Yuriel! We also have a mini-Storyviner on the way. Congrats Lorisha!

  • The Storyvine product was designed for people to film by themselves, from wherever they are. Every day since March, we’ve been telling ourselves how lucky we are to have landed on the right side of the business coin toss. Not all businesses have been so lucky, so we partnered with 9 News Denver to create a free template for local Denver businesses to film promotional videos. Please, shop local, and support your restaurants by ordering takeout.

  • Among all the chaos, we managed to introduce a brand new product, Storyvine Now, the self-service version of our enterprise-focused Storyvine products.

  • Every one of us has a pet who became our new co-worker. Actually, they’ve become everyone’s new co-workers, as they continue to acquire starring roles in our zoom calls and the aforementioned Watercooler Slack channel. Soon they’ll realize they’re too good for us, but for now, we’ll overload them with snuggles. Except the cats, who only tolerate us.

  • None of what we do would be possible without our incredible and inspiring clients! They are using Storyvine to share Patient Stories, profiles of Scholarship Winners, and the impact of the Coronavirus on non-profit organizations all over Colorado and how they are adapting! Thank you for inspiring us with the moving stories you capture with Storyvine and share with the world!

  • But most importantly, we’re all healthy, and so are those we love. Never has that meant more than at the end of a year like this one.

Everyone raise a glass and give a big welcome to 2021! 🥂
