Storyvine's Data Privacy Policies

Updated: Jun 24, 2021

Co-founder/COO Monique Elwell shares some of our privacy policies.

Storyvine has been in the Healthcare, Pharma, MedDev, and hospital space for over 8 years, and we’re well regarded in that space because we take privacy very seriously.

Although we’re not HIPAA compliant, we do handle high risk protected health information (PHI), and we have lots of levers we can use to make our pharmaceutical and other healthcare clients compliant.

Here are some items that might be important to you:

  1. You own your data. We don’t sell it, scrape it, or monetize it, or the videos you film using Storyvine, in any way.

  2. The prompts that the Storyvine system uses to capture information from the various storymakers, whether they’re patients, doctors, or someone else, are all customizable, so if you don’t want to ask for a particular piece of information, you don’t have to.

  3. The videos that are a part of a Storyvine healthcare subscription are not automatically distributed. You can turn that option off, so you can decide where and when videos are distributed.

  4. We do store videos and associated data in our database for 90 days after a contract has been terminated; then we’ll ask if you’d like that data deleted or if you’d like us to keep it. You’re in control.

  5. If anyone who has filmed a video at your behest reaches out to ask for the video to be deleted, or the data to be modified, we pass that along to you, because you own the data.
